(How many grams of carbs are covered by 1 unit of insulin) - Correction Factor (CF)
(How much 1 unit of insulin lowers your blood sugar)
These estimates are calculated using widely used medical rules:
- 500 Rule for carb ratio
- 1800 Rule for correction factor
2️⃣ Calculating Your Insulin Dose
After estimating these values, the calculator then considers:
- Your current blood sugar
- Your target blood sugar
- The carbohydrates in your meal
Based on this information, it shows a suggested insulin dose.
